More About Six & Sensate Wellness
Six is a devoted wellness advocate, practitioner, and teacher who has been immersed in the journey of wellness & self-exploration through yoga for nearly a decade. Sensate Wellness was born out of an effort to empower ourselves with the skills needed for healing our minds and bodies— through the senses. Join us, as we explore the complexities of our unique vessels through movement, bodywork and sound bowl healing.
After completing 200-hr yoga teacher training with Newark Yoga Movement and a Physical Therapist Assistant degree program from Essex County College in 2017, Six expanded the scope of her studies to include a certification in Massage Therapy from Institute of Therapeutic Massage. She continues to deepen her knowledge through self study, continuing education in other holistic modalities, and her private wellness practice.
Her experience in various settings, from hospitals and clinics to community spaces and boutique fitness facilities, integrates effortlessly with her concentration as a bodyworker and wellness practitioner. She focuses on inviting practitioners to turn inward through sensory awareness and breathwork integrations during movement or meditation practices. If we learn to feel for the mindbody’s responses during these intentional practices, we can gain insight into our innermost needs.
The essence of Sensate Wellness is acknowledging and honoring the mind & body as they are, embodying inner peace through self-awareness, and bringing forth the inherent balance that exists within.
